City declares 743 blighted properties public nuisance for weed abatement

City is moving to clear dangerous weeds from 743 abandoned or neglected parcels across Birmingham, protecting neighborhoods from fire hazard and blight. Properties will receive posted notice before city can order cleanup or demolition.
