City partners with Woodlawn United for critical repair grants

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Amended Scope of Work to the Amendment to the Services Agreement with Ernst & Young LLP, under which Ernst & Young LLP Southern Research Institute will provide advisory services in connection with the provision of consulting services for American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) and State Local Fiscal Recovery Funds ("SLFRF"), to extend the term of the Agreement to a term ending on April 30, 2027 and to provide compensation in an amount not to exceed $1,193,117.00 for services provided during the extended term for a total amount not to exceed $6,745,117.00. Council to update ground lease for 101-unit senior housing at Graymont

If approved, would finalize HUD-required amendments to the 75-year ground lease with Veranda, unlocking development of 101 affordable senior rental units and an early learning center at the former Graymont School site (300 8th Avenue West).

If approved, would continue federal pandemic recovery funding for Penny Foundation's small-business grants and outreach in Birmingham through mid-2026, with an additional $137,500 in ARPA funds to complete the program's work.
