City awards 1-year HVAC contract to Trane U.S. Inc.

A Resolution approving and authorizing the Mayor to execute, for and as the act of said City, a Project Agreement between the City of Birmingham and Baldwin Properties, LLC (“Baldwin”), under which Baldwin will undertake a project to acquire, redevelop and revitalize the existing structure located at 1909 14th Avenue North, Birmingham, Alabama 35235, into a mixed-use development containing residential rental units and commercial space for neighborhood-retailing tenants and organizations that provide goods, services, programs and resources with approximately $1.85 million of capital investments and approximately $492,400.00 in annual revenue and the creation of an estimated 25 to 30 new jobs. The City will provide incentives in the form of a Forgivable Loan in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00 in support of the project, pursuant to Amendment No. 772.

A Resolution accepting and approving the bid of Hill’s Janitorial Service, Inc., Gardendale, Alabama, for Janitorial Services: Negro Southern League Museum and A.G. Gaston Motel, as needed at unit prices on file in the office of the Assistant Purchasing Agent, for a period of three (3) years, for the City of Birmingham Various Facilities, this being the lowest, most responsive bid submitted meeting specifications, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the agreement on behalf of the City. Council to amend Greenlining contract for 35-40 unit affordable housing in Druid

Would extend an affordable housing development agreement through September 2026, adding $167,245 to support construction of a mixed-income project where at least 10% of units would serve residents earning at or below area median income.
